GOOOD to KNOW

Tips & tricks on how to maximise the success of your consignment cycle – so we don’t waste your time or ours.

First things first, you must have an appointment in order to consign with us…

We hate turning you away once you’ve already brought all your items in, but we are strict about our appointment system due to the limited capacity of our store. We appreciate you for understanding!*

*We do apologise & empathise that our appointment slots get booked up VERY quickly due to the high demand to rehome pieces.

Before you make your appointment:

  • If your intention is to dump your unwanted clothes & make money, NO.

If your intention is to rehome pieces in your closet that deserve a second life, YES.

  • Our CONSIGN WITH US, FAQ and T&C pages go through everything you need to know about how things work!

  • Read through our website but still can’t find the answer to your question?

Get in touch, or better yet, visit our TTDI store to get to know us better – we’re always happy to chat with you in person.

  • Ask yourself: Would I buy this piece?

    Inspect your pieces to ensure:

    • They are clean, dry & pet-hair free

    • There are no major stains, defects
      or strange smells

    • Buttons are not loose or missing, zippers function & there are no tears / rips in the fabric

    • Pockets are EMPTY! No tissues, loose change or receipts

LOOOP’s Curation

We always get asked what styles we look for during curation, and while there’s no straightforward answer, we do observe and keep track of what customers love in store!

Here are styles that tend to do well in store:

  • Wide legged jeans / pants

  • Maxi skirts

  • Puffs, pleats & patchwork

  • Blouses – vintage / tropical

  • Graphic tees

  • Local brands & designers / Batik

  • Y2K / 90s Styles

  • Rare / limited edition items

  • Tailored vintage sets

  • We might not take in certain styles if we already have an excess of similar pieces in store.

  • We are more selective with pieces size XS - S as we receive a large volume of these sizes.

  • Malaysian festivities throughout the year may influence demand for certain pieces. Plan strategically for your appointment!

EG: Cheongsams sell better in the lead up to Chinese New Year.

  • For tailored sets, custom gowns, mid-range luxury pieces etc – your expected pricing can determine whether or not we accept the item during curation.

Resale value for certain items can vary despite its original retail price, condition & quality.

We also think about:

Unfortunately trends come and go, and some pieces fall out of style over time.

These often do not pass our curation due to lack of demand from buyers:

  • Skinny jeans & drop crotch pants

  • Plain office pencil skirts / Skater skirts

  • Peplum dresses & bandage dresses

  • Shoes with signs of wear

  • Leggings / Sweatpants

  • Clutches

  • Rompers / playsuits

Of course, there are exceptions to this, and we might consider taking the above if they are of great quality or have a unique touch!

Reminders ❗️

Keep track of your expiry date! 📅

Whether you use a physical planner or google calendar, set a reminder for the expiry & pick up dates for your unsold items!

It is YOUR responsibility to keep track of these dates, otherwise pieces left with us will either be donated, upcycled or sold without your consignor portion.

Rehoming with intention 🏡

We believe in recirculating secondhand clothing for the good of the planet.

We do not help you make money, or help to clear space in your closet for your next fast fashion haul – but we can promise to do our best to rehome special pieces in your wardrobe that you’re ready to say goodbye to.
